Star Trek Resurgence has a few good things going for it, it takes us back to a TNG era setting free of all the random mayhem, bloodshed, hypocrisy, drug use and F-Bombs that the current iterations of Trek provide (Picard i'm looking at you.) Otherwise, avoid until it's half price or free. Overall, if you're a Trekkie, I'd say you'll enjoy the story and overlook the technical failings. This game should have been delayed another year. Add to that a soundtrack from 1995 and missing dialogue, which is often key to the decisions you have to make. While the character models are reasonable, the amount of tearing, laggy framerates and 2010 animation is poor. That said - and I appreciate the size of the team that made it - but to release a video game in 2023 and charge £35, with this standard of technical quality is inexcusable. The decisions feel weighty and the fast time element does add excitement to the moment. It really is like an interactive episode.
